Architecture

Michaels Pro Education has a complex information architecture due to combining standard ecommerce patterns with organization administration and permissions structures. 
School administrators would need to manage users, permissions, and purchases made by teachers in a school district.

By interviewing school administrators and procurement professionals, I created sample organization charts including people, schools within districts, catalogs, budgets, and payment methods.

Michaels Omnichannel

Along with MichaelsPro, Michaels.com and a new C2C Marketplace product were being redesigned at the same time.
Working closely with the director of design and leads from other products, I spearheaded an effort to apply a unified information architecture to all products, in order to save design and development effort and money.

Additionally I architected common features across all three Michaels products, including login/registration, notifications, and communications strategy
